Biking the La Crosse River State Trail

The La Crosse River State Trail is a 21 mile connection between The Great River State Trail and the Elroy Sparta State Trail on the Bike 4 Trails network which also includes the 400 State Trail, Hilsboro State Trail, Omaha Trail, Halfway Creek Trail, and Hollands Bluff Trail. A brief view of the oxbowing La Crosse River is just east of Onalaska. Otherwise the trail is not especially scenic and shadows the busy I94 most of its length. It is well serviced with parking lots, restrooms, trail towns, lodging, and campgrounds.
