Omaha Bike Trail From Camp Douglas to Elroy

The distinctive bluffs and rock outcroppings of the driftless area are recognizable landmarks to anyone who has driven I94 between Wisconsin Dells and Minneapolis. They appear like fortified castles rising out of pine barrens. The bluffs are especially notable at Camp Douglas where the Omaha Trail begins.

The Omaha trail is a 12-14 mile Juneau County bike trail which connects directly to the Elroy Sparta and 400 Trail at Elroy WI. One of the most memorable features of the Omaha Trail is a 300 foot tunnel beneath a majestic bluff. Otherwise, quiet country scenery and quintessential Wisconsin farmland prevail on this must-do bike trail in southwestern Wisconsin. The trail is serviced by campgrounds at each end and parking lots and small parks along the route. Remember to bring a flashlight to find your way through the tunnel ... and always walk your bike through rail trail tunnels.
