The Iron Road translates to Eisenbahn in German. The Eisenbahn Trail is a bike and recreation trail set onto a former Chicago and North Western Railroad bed. Its course is 25 miles long from Eden to West Bend and is paved with crushed stone and asphalt in some areas. There are scenic views on the West Bend and Barton section of the trail which is on the banks of the Milwaukee River. Parking are restrooms are available at all of the trail towns along the Eisenbahn.
