Eight miles of paved recreation trail follow close to the Lake Michigan shoreline in Manitowoc and Two Rivers. Of these miles, the portion which is squeezed in between Highway 42 and the Lake is officially titled the Mariners Trail. Additional miles of connecting trail routes are included in the map below. Portions of this trail are also designated as the Ice Age National Scenic Trail - The gold rectangle trail blazes along this trail indicate IAT routes. There are many free public parking lots, and amenities such as flush restrooms, beaches, and parks featured frequently along the Mariners trail. No fee is required for this trail.
